Formulasi Sediaan Gel Totol Jerawat Ekstrak Bunga Melati (Jasminum sambac L)

Bunga melati memiliki kandungan eugenol, linalool, metil salisilat, benzil alkohol dan indol. Ekstrak bunga konsentrasi 30% mampu mencegah pertumbuhan bakteri Propionibacterium acne penyebab jerawat dengan diameter zona hambat 5,58 mm. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui formulasi gel totol ekstrak (Jaminum sambac L) evaluasi sifat fisik. etanol diperoleh metode maserasi menggunakan pelarut 96%. Formulasi dibuat 35%, basis carbomer 940, trietanolamin (TEA), metilparaben, propilenglikol aquadest. Evaluasi fisik meliputi uji organoleptis, homogenitas, pH, daya sebar waktu simpan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sediaan 35% menghasilkan yang baik dibandingkan 30%. Gel 940 aroma khas melati, homogen, nilai rata-rata pH 5, kekentalan cukup tinggi. berturut-turut 3,37 cm 3,39 cm.
